MPT Celebrates the Tazaungdaing Festival with “Together with MPT’s Tazaungdaing Lighting Festival” and Exciting Digital Photo Contest

(Yangon, 31st October 2025) – MPT, Myanmar’s first and leading telecommunications operator, continues to celebrate Myanmar’s cherished traditions and cultural heritage through its annual “Together with MPT’s Tazaungdaing Lighting Festival.”
As a true local telecom operator deeply rooted in Myanmar society, MPT is set to host lighting festivals at famous pagodas across Yangon, Bago (East), Mon, and Shan (East) within November 4:00 PM onwards, with the ceremonial candle lighting at 5:30 PM. Details of the pagoda names will be announced at MPT social media pages.

The event will feature the creation of the MPT logo using over 15,000 candles and oil lamps, symbolizing light, unity, and connection. Thousands of people are expected to join this beautiful celebration, enjoying an evening filled with cultural warmth and community spirit.
To make the celebration even more exciting, MPT is launching the “Together with MPT’s Tazaungdaing Lighting Festival Digital Photo Contest,” inviting participants to capture and share their most memorable moments from the festival. The contest will run from November 1st to 13th , 2025, giving participants the opportunity to win a variety of Telecom and Non-Telecom Prizes. Telecom Prizes include 111 GB of data for 11 winners, MMK 30,000 mobile top-up for 10 winners, and MMK 10,000 mobile top-up for 10 winners, while Non-Telecom Prizes include 2 infinix Note 50 smartphones.
