MPT Offers Free On-Net (MPT to MPT) Calls and SMS to Customers in Earthquake-Affected Regions

(Yangon, 29th March 2025) – Following the devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck the Mandalay and Sagaing regions on March 28, 2025, MPT extends its heartfelt concern to all those affected. The earthquake caused telecommunications service call disruptions for some customers across several States and Regions.

MPT is prioritizing the restoration of services as quickly as possible to ensure uninterrupted connectivity for its customers. To support the communities during this challenging time, MPT has launched a special relief initiative as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. Customers in the affected regions will receive 700 minutes of free on-net (MPT to MPT)calls and 700 free SMS (valid for 7 days) to stay connected with their loved ones and access critical communication needs.
