MPT Reaffirms Nationwide Commitment to Community Health with 17th Successful Blood Donation Drive
(Yangon, 24th October 2025) – MPT, as Myanmar’s first and leading telecommunications operator with the nation’s most extensive network coverage, has successfully concluded its 17th Nationwide Blood Donation drive. This flagship initiative is a cornerstone of MPT’s corporate social responsibility, demonstrating a profound commitment to supporting the health of the community as a major corporate citizen. This event reaffirms MPT’s unwavering pledge to stand with the people of Myanmar, providing critical support where it is needed most.
This initiative is not a one-time event; it is a deeply embedded corporate tradition held every four months, driven by the dedication and compassion of MPT’s own employees and volunteers. The 17th drive saw over 340 volunteers—comprising MPT staff and local community members—participate across nine key states and regions: Nay Pyi Taw Council, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Magway, Tanintharyi, and Mandalay Regions, as well as Shan State (East, South, and North).
To date, this sustained program has seen more than 9,400 dedicated individuals donate over 9,300 blood bags, providing a vital, life-saving resource for patients in urgent need of transfusions at hospitals throughout Myanmar.

One of the volunteers, Ma Thidar Lwin, shared her heartfelt experience: “This is my 14th time donating as part of the MPT blood drive. The deep satisfaction and joy you feel after donating is something truly special—those who’ve done it know the feeling well! I want to tell everyone who hasn’t donated yet: put your worries and fear aside. Remember that this small act of generosity is a lifesaver for someone else.
