MPT Successfully Organizes 18th Collective Blood Donation Activity to Promote Health Awareness and Volunteer Spirit
(Yangon, 27th February 2026) – Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) successfully organized its 18th Collective Blood Donation activity as part of its longstanding commitment to supporting public health and encouraging the spirit of volunteerism within its community. This meaningful initiative brought together over 140 participants, including employees and volunteer donors, at the MPT Training Center to contribute to saving lives and promoting awareness of the importance and health benefits of regular voluntary blood donation.
Since the inception of this program in 2016, MPT has mobilized over 10,000 dedicated blood donors, contributing nearly 9,600 life-saving blood bags through its collective blood donation efforts, demonstrating the organization’s continued dedication to addressing critical healthcare needs in Myanmar.
Mr.Hiroyuki OKAI, Advisor to COO of MPTJO stated, “Our 18th Collective Blood Donation activity reflects MPT’s enduring dedication to promoting health and volunteerism. We deeply appreciate the generosity of our participants and are proud of the collective effort to contribute to life-saving causes. We hope that this initiative continues to inspire more people to engage in voluntary service and recognize the personal and community benefits of blood donation.”
Blood donation is more than a corporate activity. As part of its broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment in the health sector, MPT continues to implement impactful programmes such as the MPT’s Health Education Program, collaborating with the well-known hospitals, which provides accessible health knowledge and awareness to communities nationwide through digital platforms such as MPT4U and social media channels.
