(Yangon, 24^th February 2026) _ MPT has been found that fiber cables were installed without permission on poles owned by MPT in Yangon Region. Notification concerning the unlawful and unauthorized deployment of fiber cables was officially issued via Mirror newspapers on November 27, 2021.

Therefore, companies with illegally installed fiber cables in Sauchaung and Tamwe Townships are hereby notified to contact the relevant authorities and remove fiber cables between 24^th February and 10^th March 2026. Failure to comply will removal of all illegal fiber cables effective March 2026. Non-compliant entities will be subject to legal action in accordance with existing laws and regulations.
