MPT Donated 100 million MMK for The Rehabilitation Process in Cyclone Mocha Affected Rakhine State and Working Tirelessly to Restore Telecommunications Services

(Yangon, 23rd May 2023) As a leading and true local telecom operator in Myanmar, MPT is committed to “အတူလက်တွဲ အမြဲရှိမည်” “Holding Hands together with Myanmar People” and has donated 100 million MMK to Natural Disaster Management fund on May 19th. In addition, by using Cells on Wheels technology MPT has immediately provided temporary telecommunication service to people in Rakhine State who have experienced network disruption due to Cyclone Mocha. MPT is also providing sympathetic gift of 5 GB data in total and unlimited usage of free (on-net) Voice and SMS for the people in Rakhine State for their communications among friends and families and rehabilitation till May 31st.

Additionally, MPT has positioned Satellite terminals at the required locations to provide telecommunications services. MPT staff and expert teams are working tirelessly to restore the telecommunication services and internet connection as before.
