(Yangon, 31st May 2023) _ As a first and true local operator, MPT is dedicated to its commitment of “အတူလက်တွဲ အမြဲရှိမည် MPT” (MPT-Holding Hands Together With Myanmar People) and launch free education program for young people in Myanmar through MPT Learning Management System (LMS) where youths can learn with free mobile data and free of charge course contents starting from 31st May.
Due to COVID-19 situation, learning via online has become the new approach to education but having to spend money on data for learning could be a challenge for youths with limited expense. With that in mind, MPT decided to fill the gap with its nationwide telecommunication service and data free education platform. For the benefits of learners, MPT has collaborated with three renowned partners in education and vocational sector- KMD Institute for Information Technology, Center for Vocational Training Ltd Gty for vocational training and for the language part- Soe San Japanese Language Trainer will offer basic Japanese Language for youths who will be the future of the country.
Courses from this education program are aimed for learners starting from 8 years of age to 35 years or more. IT courses from KMD Institute will be applicable for youth of 8 years and above including Kid courses, google application courses as a beginning. For vocational training, flames adjustment, and welding in Oxy acetylene, sharpening chisel by hand, cocktail sauce, vegetable cutting and introduction adjustment tools and measuring tools. From Japanese Language training, learners can study N5 courses.
As this program comes with many benefits like free mobile data, course fee and flexible study hours, MPT would like to make sure that this opportunity goes to learners who are hunger for knowledge. Hence, interested learners need to write their purpose of application and young learners could use the help of adults/parents in writing of the purposes as this will be necessary criteria for the selection process.

MPT will find out the passionate learners through applicant information and those who meet with requirements will be selected. Then, MPT will provide user credential so that they can safely use education platform. This education service with no charges will be available only for MPT users and are required to have mobile device to access the course and MPT SIM.
