(Yangon, 08^th July 2026)– MPT is delighted to announce the successful completion of its high-speed fiber network system upgrades in Bago (East) Region.

Since initiating its fiber network rollout in 2016, and intensifying efforts from August 2022, MPT has steadily migrated its legacy copper‑cable network with an advanced fiber infrastructure. With these latest upgrades now finalized, MPT will fully transition from its existing auto-telephone numbers to the new fiber network system, effective from 14^th July 2026.

Customers in the newly upgraded areas will benefit from faster, more convenient services. However, please note that VoIP services may not be available in certain locations where homes are situated far from the fiber network.
