MPT Successfully Planted Over 3,770 Saplings Through Its “MPT Green Movement” Nationwide Tree Planting Initiative Across 17 States & Regions
(Yangon, 18th June 2025) –MPT successfully conduced its “MPT Green Movement” nationwide tree planting initiative on 18th June 2026 as part of its ongoing CSR activities efforts. The initiative was carried out simultaneously across 17 States and Regions including Yadanarpon City, Pyi Oo Lwin Township, and Mandalay Region.
This initiative aims to promote a greener environment, improve quality of life and mitigate the impact of natural disasters and climate change by reducing greenhouse gases. Nearly 800 participants, including dedicated MPT employees and enthusiastic community volunteers, joined together to plant more than 3,770 saplings including hard wood, shade-giving trees and long-live trees across 17 States and Regions.
These selected tree species are intended to support local communities by providing shade, improving air quality, and contributing to environmental conservation efforts.
Mr. Hiroyuki OKAI, Advisor to COO of MPTJO, express that“since we began MPT Green Movement” Nationwide Tree Planting Initiative in 2017, this year marks its 8th implementation. In 2026, we planted over 3,770 saplings and have successfully planted more than 23,000 trees across the country to date. This initiative reflects our commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being. We remain dedicated to continuing this meaningful program to support our communities through impactful environmental actions.”
