Yu Htar+

1.What is Yu-Htar+ Service?

MPT’s “Yu-Htar+”, a Loan Balance service, allows you to borrow balance from MPT whenever you need.
Dial *800# to borrow balance in case of emergencies and for convenience if top up is not easily available.

2. How do I access Yu-Htar+ Service?

You can access the service with the following USSD codes:

  • *800# to access USSD menu You can access the service
  • By sending SMS request to 8000 with desired loan amount: 800 – to immediately request 800 Ks loan
  • You can access the service through MPT4U application

3. What are the conditions to use Yu-Htar+ service?

  • To enjoy service, you should be a Pre-Paid customer
  • To enjoy service, your number must have been activated more than 30 days ago
  • To enjoy service, you must have recharged at least one top-up in the last 90 days
  • To enjoy service, you must have recharged at least 3000 Ks in the last 90 days
  • To enjoy service, you can take the loan without paying the previous one you’re your credit limit
  • Your credit limit is calculated based on the number and amount of recharges on MPT network

4. How much loan I can take with Yu-Htar+ service?

You can take the loan for the given below amount based on you credit limit.

Loan amount and service fee would be charged to you on your next top up either fully or partially based on your mobile balance availability.

Minimum loan of 800ks can be availed only 1 time in a month and for more loans within same month you need to switch to higher loan amount.

  • Borrowed amount with Yu-Htar+ service can be used for all MPT services (except VAS services*)

If you want to use VAS service from borrowed amount, two more conditions need to full fill

  • a)Activation should be more than 30 days
  • b)Minimum top-up amount of 3000 Ks in last 90 days.

To increase your loan limit, you should more active on MPT network and top-up more frequently.

12. Can I use loan balance on international roaming to make calls, send SMS or use internet data?

No, loan balance cannot be used on international roaming calls, SMS and data.

Yu Htar Data Service

1. What is a “Yu Htar DATA” service?

MPT’s “Yu Htar DATA” service, which allows you to borrow data pack from MPT when you need it. “Yu Htar DATA” service can be used to borrow data pack by dialing *900# in case of emergencies and in situations where it is not easy to purchase data.

2. How do I borrow data pack from “Yu Htar DATA” service?

You can borrow data from “Yu Htar DATA” service as following ways:

  • By Direct USSD, dial *900# to borrow data pack.
  • By sending SMS to 9000 with desired MB of data loan for immediate request: 350, 470, 615, 860, 1290, 2160.
  • Borrow data pack via MPT4U.

3. What are the conditions to borrow data pack?

The following are the conditions to borrow data pack:

  • You should be a pre-Paid user.
  • Your number should not be in Blacklist.
  • Your number should be active on MPT network for more than 30 days.
  • You must have top up your balance at least once in the last 90 days.
  • You must have topped up your balance at least 3000 Ks in the last 90 days.
  • Your credit limit is calculated based on the number and amount of recharges on MPT network.
  • You need to pay back previous debt, to get loan next time.

4. How many MB of data can I borrow from “Yu Htar DATA” service?

You can take data loan as given below amount based on your credit limit.

MPT Ring Tune

1. What is Ring Tune service?

Ring Tune service allows you to replace your standard ringing tone to a tune of your choice. Your callers can listen to the tune of your choice when they call you.
You can select tune of your choice from thousands of superhit and melodious tunes.

2.How can I activate Ring Tune service?

You can activate Ring Tune service by following methods.
• Call 7979 (call will be free of charge) from your MPT number and follow the instructions to choose your favorite tune
• SMS: send REG M to 7979 for monthly service, send REG W to 7979 for weekly service or send REG D to 7979 for daily service, or send REG S to 7979 for daily subscription and Tune Service
• Send an SMS with the tune id of the song you would like to buy buy to 7979. Example: buy 0001110010
• Dial *7979# and select your favorite tune”

3.What are the charges for Ring Tune service?

• Tune buffet ( Unlimited ringtune) will be charged 100 ks(including tax) for 1 day
• Monthly service will be charged 1050 Ks (including tax) for 30 days.
• Weekly service will be charged 300 Ks (including tax) for 7 days.
• Daily service will be charged 47 Ks (including tax) for one day.
• Tune charges are 315 Ks (including tax) for 30 days for each tune
• Daily Subscription and tune service with 47 ks/day of subscription fee and 13ks/day for each tune as tune fee

4.How would I be renewed for the ring tune service?

• It is an auto renewal service and you would be renewed and charged for the service according to your subscription plan and tune validity.

5. How can I deactivate Ring Tune service?

• Call 7979 (call will be free of charge) and go to “my account section” then choose to deactivate (or)
• You can type UNR and send SMS to 7979 (or)
• You can click Unsubscribe button for CRBT in MPT4U app (or)
• Dial *7979# and go to account section to unsubscribe the service (or)

6. Can I set a tune for a specific caller?

Yes. You can assign a specific tone for your special caller with the options given below

7.Can I copy a tune a tune from my friends?

Yes. You can copy a tune from your friends having MPT number with the options given

8.How to delete the song?

• Call 7979 and go to HELP session then choose TO CHECK LIBRARY and delete the song (or)

9. What if Ring Tune is active, someone calls me & I am busy on another call?

• The caller hears the normal busy tone, Ring Tune will not be heard.

10. How can I gift Ring Tune service to my friends and family?

• Just call 7979 (no call charges) and follow the Instructions

11. What are the charges for gifting Ring Tune service?

If the person you want to gift ring tune service is already ring tune user then
• You will be charged 315 ks for first 30 days then the gift receiver will be charged for 315 ks from the next month.

If the person you want to gift ring tune service is not a ring tune user then
• You will be charged 1050 ks as subscription fee and 315 ks as song fee for first 30 days then the gift receiver will be charged for 1050 ks as subscription fee and 315 ks as song fee from the next month.

12. What is Name Tune service?

• Name tune service allows the user to greet the callers with his/her names and message available from MPT.

13. How can I subscribe the Name Tune service?

You can use one of the below methods to subscribe the MPT Name Tune service.
• SMS: send REG M to 7979 for monthly service, send REG W to 7979 for weekly service or send REG D to 7979 for daily service (or)
• Call 106 for more information and activation of name tune

14.What are the charges for Name Tune service?

• Monthly service will be charged 1050 Ks (including tax) for 30 days.
• Name Tune will be charged 315 Ks (including tax) for 30 days

15. How can I activate daily Subscription and tune pack?

You can activate the service from
• IVR: Call 7979 and then choose daily pack
• SMS: Send REG S to 7979
• USSD: Dial *7979# and then select daily pack

16. How much would I be charged for each new tune download after activating daily Subscription and song pack?

• For each tune download, you will be charged 13 Kyats/day
• You can download tune from any channel IVR, SMS, USSD, 106 and will be charged 13 kyats/day for each tune

17. What is * Copy Feature?

*Copy feature allows you to copy ringtune from your friends

You can Press * to copy, when you listen the ringtune while calling them

18. How can I subscribe to CRBT by using * Copy function?

  • When you call rigntune users, you will get to listen 3-4 sec header prompt ( to copy the tune press*) and then ringtune starts playing.
  • You can copy ringtune by pressing * when you listen the ringtune while calling the ringtune users
  • After pressing *, you will get a confirmation sns from “7979”, you need to reply with “0”to subscribe the ringtune service.
  • Ringtune can be copied by pressing * only when the ringtune is being played
  • You would not be able to copy the tune if you press * after the call is connected to the called user

19. What are the charges for subscribing ringtune service via * copy function?

  • Subscription charges 47 ks/day and tune charges 13 ks/day

20. What are the charges for song download for existing CRBT user?

It will be as per user plan:

  • If the user is subscribed on monthly/weekly/daily (with Monthly song) plan then user will be charged 315 ks/month
  • If the users is on daily plan with daily song plan the Tune charges will be 13 ks/day

21. What should I do if I don’t want to listen * copy header while I call to any CRBT Users?

  • Contact customer care and request for blacklisting. It will be activated within 48 hrs.

22. What should I do if I don’t want my callers to listen * Copy header when they call me?

  • Contact customer care and request for blacklisting. It will be activated within 48 hrs.

23. What is TUNE BUFFET PACK (UNLIMITED TUNES) feature?

  • TUNE BUFFET PACK (UNLIMITED TUNES) is a feature wherein an MPT customer can activate unlimited number of tunes by just paying a certain amount per day.
  • No extra charges will be deducted from customer for any number of tunes.

25. Is the service auto renewal?

Yes, the service will be auto renewed daily till the customer deactivates the service.

24. What are the charges of TUNE BUFFET PACK (UNLIMITED TUNES)?

Customer will be charged 100ks/day for TUNE BUFFET PACK (UNLIMITED TUNES) service.

No,separate charges for song download. Users need to pay for subscription charges
(100 Ks/day) and can download unlimited number of tunes without any charge

29. How many tunes can I download for free?

User can download unlimited tunes for free.

30. How many tunes can I keep in my profile at one time?

Customer can keep maximum 20 tunes in the profile at a particular time.

31. What would happen if I reached the limit of maximum number of tunes in my profile?

  • If you reach maximum number of tunes in your profile, you will be asked to remove a tune so that you can add more tunes.
  • You can remove your existing tunes from Website, Visit https://ringtune.mpt.com.mm, or call 7979, or Dial *7979#

32. How can I migrate to TUNE BUFFET PACK (UNLIMITED TUNES) if I am an existing ringtune user?

Balance Transfer

1. What is Balance Transfer Service?

MPT Prepaid GSM/WCDMA users can transfer their balance to another MPT prepaid account. Balance transfer will be available for customer who consumed MPT services for more than 3,000 Ks from the activation date.

2. How do I use Balance Transfer Service?

  • You can access the service with the following USSD code:
  • *223*amount to send*recipient’s number# [send]
  • Example: *223*1000*09456456456# [send]
  • The amount to send +5% service charge and 5% commercial tax will be deducted from the sender’s main balance. The receiver will receive the full amount.
  • Example: (1000 + 5% service fees = 50 + tax 5% = 52   MMK) > (Total = 1052 MMK)
  • 5% of Service fees + 5% of tax on service fee will be charged for all balance transfer transactions effective from March 15th 2023

3. “Balance transfer will be available for customer who consumed MPT services for more than 3,000Ks from the activation date” What does it mean?

To enjoy Balance Transfer Service, customer’s usage must have more than 3000 Ks from his activation date.

4. Is there a minimum/maximum to the amount that I can transfer per transaction?

  • Maximum number of transfers is limited to 5 transfers in a day
  • Maximum accumulated transfer amount is limited to 50,000Ks per day
  • The counter starts and ends at midnight every day

5. Can I transfer bonus balance to my friend?

No, the Balance Transfer service is only applicable for transfers of main balances.

6. Who are eligible to send credit to friends?

MPT GSM/WCDMA Prepaid users are eligible to send credit via Balance Transfer. Customer who have been consumed more than 3,000 Ks from the activation date. User must have enough credit in the main balance to cover the transfer amount.

7. Who are eligible to receive credit from a friend via Balance Transfer?

  • All MPT GSM/WCDMA Prepaid users are eligible to receive credit from Balance Transfer. Active, 1-way block and 2-way block users are eligible to receive credit. GSM/WCDMA customers can make Balance Transfer to CDMA and PSTN Prepaid customers.
  • CDMA number can use balance transfer service and can also transfer to GSM number too.

8.Who are not eligible to use Balance Transfer service?

Balance transfer service is not available to postpaid customers.
Prepaid users( GSM/CDMA) who have used less than 3000 Ks on MPT network since their sim activation

9.Can CDMA users use Balance Transfer?

Yes, CDMA prepaid customers can use Balance Transfer user to transfer each other.

10. What happens when I transfer credit to a 1-way block user? (A 1-way block user is a user whose main balance validity has expired, and is only able to receive SMS and calls)

A 1-way block user is eligible to receive a Balance Transfer. Upon receipt, the user will not be blocked anymore and will instead get a main balance validity of 90 days. If the 1-way block user has not topped-up within the 90 days, he should return to 1-way block status.

11. What happens when I transfer credit to a 2-way block user? (A 2-way block user is a user whose main balance validity has expired more than 30 days ago, and is not able to send/receive SMS or calls)

A 2-way block user is eligible to receive a Balance Transfer. Upon receipt, the user will not be blocked anymore and will instead get a main balance validity of 90 days. If the 2-way block user has not topped-up within the 90 days, he should return to 1-way block status.

Call Waiting Service

1 . What's Call Waiting Service?

Call Waiting will let you know when someone is trying to contact you while you are on another call.
If you take the new call, your original caller may stay on hold and you can return to them after speaking with the new caller.

3. How Does It Work?

  • When you are on a call, you will hear a tone to let you know you have another caller.
  • Choose to either hold the current call and take the new call, or end either call.
  • You can switch back to the first call as long as the first caller is still on the line. Only one caller can wait at one time.

Gifting Service (Poh B)

1. What is “Poh B”?

“Poh B” is Gifting Service. MPT users can send Data Pack, Voice Pack & Htaw B to another MPT numbers as gift.

To use this, just dial existing USSD and chose your preferred pack. Choose Gift option and follow the instruction. You can also use MPT 4U app to gift MPT products to other MPT numbers. There is no limitation for sending and receiving MPT products. Receivers can enjoy the products that they receive, according to the standard Terms & Conditions of MPT.

2. Do I need to pay service fees to use “Poh B”?

  • No service fee is required.
  • If you are a sender (person who will gift MPT product to other MPT number), only package price that you gift will be deducted from your main balance. SMS notification will be received.
  • If you are a receiver (person who will receive MPT Product as gift from other MPT number), will receive the product automatically. You will be notified via SMS. You can check your pack quota by dialing *224#.

3. I have remaining Data Carry Plus Pack Quota and I also receive Data Carry Pack from my friend as Gift. What will happen?

  • Both ( Remaining & New) will be merged and it can be used according to the standard terms & conditions.
  • A Kyite Pyaw+ Voice Pack & Htaw B will also be merged with remaining quota if they are same products.

Voice Mail Service

1. What's Voice Mail Service?

Activate Voice Mail Service so your callers can leave a message whenever you are out of network coverage area, you are unable to pick up your calls or your phone is switched off.

3. How Does It Work?

  • When your phone is out of network coverage area, you are unable to pick up your calls or your phone is switched off, your caller will be prompted to leave a Voice Mail.
  • When you have a Voice Mail, the system will send you a notification. You can dial 1550 to retrieve the message, delete the voice message and manage your Voice Mail settings. A maximum of 20 Voice Mail messages can be stored. Usual voice tariff applies to leave a message or to call 1550.

Conference Call

1. What is Conference Call?

Conference Call can support calling up to 6 numbers (including initiator) within one call.
Now, you can enjoy calling to multiple numbers at one call by using MPT’s Conference Call service.

Call Forwarding

1. What's Call Forwarding ?

Call Forwarding service will help you to forward incoming calls to another MPT number. You can set it to forward calls as you like – either while you are on call, out of service area or every unanswered call.

Subscription to Call Forwarding is free of charge.
When forwarding calls, subscriber who has activated Call Forwarding will be charged.
A (Caller) -> B (Forwarder) -> C (Receiver)
B (Forwarder) will be charged based on forwarded call duration according to the tariff they are in.

3. How Does It Work?

Set your call forwarding options by going to ‘Settings’ on your phone to set the conditions
(e.g. always forward, forward when busy, forward when unanswered, forward when unreachable, etc.) and the destination number. Usually, this can be found under ‘Calls’.
